He received the basic training on the instrument sitar in the traditional style from Dr. Ram Chakravarty, professor at Benares Hindu University and exponent of the Varanasi-Seniya-Gharana. In 1989 the Swiss sitar player obtained the "Sangit Prabhakar diploma on sitar", which he passed with distinction. Since 1991 he has also been dealing with Indian classical singing (Dhrupad, Khyal) and musicology etc. at Dr. Ritwik Sanyal (over 5 years teaching in Varanasi, India). He regularly gives concerts and workshops in India, Nepal and Europe. Appearances on Nepalese television and tour with the Indian catholic dancer Durga Arya. 1997 Concert at the Süddeutscher Rundfunk in the SDR Kulturforum. With introductions to Indian music, he also acts as a mediator of Indian music culture. Through his extensive study visits to India at the source of music and through his many contacts to Indian musicians, he has also managed to internalize the feeling of Indian music, which gives his playing great authenticity.
